Sophisticated Patterned Surfaces
Quartzite is a hard stone with stunning natural patterns, with hues ranging from whites and grays to shades of blue, green, and even pink. Its smooth surface and elegant veining give it the appearance of marble, making it an ideal choice for those seeking the sophisticated look of marble but the durability of granite.
Quartzite countertops are highly resistant to heat, so you can place hot pots and pans directly on the surface without worrying about damage. Additionally, quartzite is less porous than marble, making it more resistant to staining. When properly sealed, quartzite countertops are excellent at repelling moisture and everyday spills.
Durability
As one of the hardest natural stones available, it is incredibly durable and resistant to scratching, chipping, and cracking. It is much harder than granite, which makes it an ideal choice for high-traffic areas like kitchens and bathrooms.
Sealing Required
While quartzite is more stain-resistant than marble, it is still a porous material that requires sealing to maintain its protective barrier. Depending on usage, quartzite countertops may need to be resealed every 1-2 years to maintain optimal performance.
