Quartz Countertops

Carolina custom kitchen & bath

Popular Engineered Stone Surfaces

Quartz countertops are made by grinding natural quartz into a powder and mixing it with resin and other materials. The mixture is then pressed into slabs, cooled, polished, and trimmed. This process ensures consistency in color, pattern, and performance, making quartz countertops a reliable option for various applications.

While quartz is heat-resistant, it can be damaged by extreme temperatures, such as hot pans directly placed on the surface. Using trivets or hot pads is recommended to prevent damage.

Durability

Quartz is one of the toughest materials for countertops, being resistant to scratches, chips, and stains. The high-density resin binding adds strength and longevity.

No Sealing Required

Unlike natural stones like granite and marble, quartz doesn’t require sealing. It is non-porous, so liquids and oils won’t penetrate the surface, making it more hygienic and easier to clean.
